that's right.. THESE ninnyes. I'm talkin' about the ones that take an entire semester to write. How many of you guys have actually done one? I assume most of you, since you've all been through highschool. And what did you write it on? WAS IT DIFFICULT?

Me, this is the first time I've been hit with one this size. I'm supposed to write 12 pages about a topic that doesn't have any books written about it. YEAH THAT'S POSSIBLE. Hopefully I'll think of something soon enough. So yeah, this topic came to me. Share your horror stories guys.

I may be exaggerating a bit. Once I find my topic it won't be so bad. Also I'm open to suggestions, though I'm not trying to make this a homework help thread :X
I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

I've been doing lots of DBQs recently.

You haven't seen anything yet, young one.

If I get an entire semester to do them, I usually do it the first week then hold onto it for the finals.

Oh Vesperia, never change... never change

Careful with that, some teachers will flip poop if they catch plagiarism. Paraphrase.

And if your school is anything like mine, you could get suspended. Somehow.

Or quote. Anything to say that it is the idea of someone else.

And many teachers still don't consider Wikipedia a valid source, despite the army of people weeding out inaccurate information 24/7.

With everyone checking to see if you cited it, and removing it anyway when you try to add something, Wikipedia is more reliable than some of the websites teachers tell you to use.

Anyone can make a website and claim it's all fact.

I hate 'em. In High School I always did it last minute. Always got a passing grade (I don't remember the exact grade). In college I wanted to do the one assigned but didn't for some reason. Still passed the class though.

Dude .

Damn, I wish I got an entire semester to do mine. I had to do a research paper on Women's Fashion in the 1920's last year. We got two weeks to do it. Our teacher didn't give us a specific number of pages, just said "as long as it has to be". So mine was 20 pages. I got an A on it, so I guess the amount of time was enough.
I get obsessively manic over things. It's a problem.

Research papers are a cinch.
"Many people see technology as the problem behind the so-called digital divide. Others see it as the solution. Technology is neither. It must operate in conjunction with business, economic, political and social system."

So I need to pick a topic. BY TOMORROW.

It must begin with a question that I can answer in 12 pages. Somehow. Basically bring up a somewhat-controversial topic, and use the mass of pages to throw a bunch of fluff-crap in, supporting both sides of the issue. Then the concluding page or so would be my choice on an answer.

I'm open to all suggestions :(

Should Obama die?
Should babies be aborted for population control?
Do video games cause violence?
Does the music make you kill?
Do the video games violence one but with movies instead

i'm sure you'll think of something

Does watching anime affect your studies?
Should children be forbidden to watch rated R movies?
What happens when an unstoppable object hits an unmovable object?

There are dozens of topics one can come up with. But like most teachers will tell you: "Don't think, just write."
