Either is fine with me. Although I prefer off.
I hate how the online "normal" brawl is the stupid 2-minute one tho, with items and such. I wish it was at least a stock match with items. the time one sucks...

Skye8600

I like going with no items
it shows off your true skill
:P

NINTENDO_PAWNAGE_RAWK

I only turn on a few certain Items on Low-Very Low appearance.

tollhouse2006

A good smash player should be ready for anything.  If you don't play with items at all you'll never conquer the game.  I don't use them often but sometimes.  Always very low but even at that level they still appear often, I hope that's different in brawl.

I hate that.  Whenever I grab a capsule and throw it down it's always an explosive and it kills me.  I hated that som much.  That's why I never down throw anymore unless it's a pokeball.

*face palms*

No, sillly.

Obvious rule number 1.

You don't throw Items at yourself. Meaning throw them down at your feat.
I swear, that happen to me so many times in SSB's I had to learn the hard way all the time simply because
I didn't feel like throwing it at anybody or throwing it far away.

*throws capsule down, it explodes, Instant KO*

*shakes head..* such memories...
>_<

But I prefer items "Off". I'm not against them at all, but ..........eh.. Nah I just don't like them on anymore.
I use to have them on during normal vs. play, but I just took it off.

I'm gonna win the match regardless of items being on or not, but I just prefer to win battles using my own
basic skill, not a tool that can help me win.

Obviously there are some difference in Opinions here, I respect those opinions of course, I just prefer items off
unless who ever I'm playing with wants to play with them then I'm fine.

I used to be like some of you, with the whole "Final Destination, NO Items," etc.

But then, one day I realized something:  if items and other stages are part of the game, and you never use them, then you will NEVER actually master the game!!  Now, I'm not saying I'm any good; most of you guys would rip me to shreads!  :D  But the point is, playing with items helps you realize just how fast the tide can turn in battle, and when my opponent suddenly turns around and Bob-ombs me straight in the face, I remember that it's not cheating and it's not cheap, it's just Smash!  And while some people say it detracts from using their "skillz," that's totally untrue--for example, if I had had any real skill in the situation above, I would have been able to catch the Bob-omb and throw it right back!

I am a proud supporter of Items ON.

tibar7

i don't play with items in competition, only fooling around

I know, my sig is just awesome! Die spoiler rule!

X_Hero

I say off, and I agree, having the items off adds more of a challenge.

Rius

Depends on who I'm playing against: if they love to spam items and depend on them for survival, then I turn them off. >:3
Usually I leave them on, though I don't use them really.
