Purchase is pending... for 9 hours... (Steam)

Okay, so I got The Orange Box. Right? Put the disk in, clicked install, and it opened Steam.
So I log into steam, punch in the activation code, and it's like "Please wait until the transaction is finished."

2 hours later, I'm wondering "Seriously, it can't take THAT long." I put disk 1 in again, and it popped up the installation thing. I clicked the things I wanted, then it went through the installation, then after it say something like "Steam servers are busy."

So seriously, wtf is going on. Tried to register on the forums to download, but they haven't even accepted my account.


Should I make a new account on Steam and try and install it on that?

Oh, if it's wrong forum, at least wait until I get my answer to move it.

I'm able to play Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, so yeah I'm pretty sure.
