How do you watch DVD's on your computer?

Never done it before. All I know is that you need a DVD Drive and a mpeg-2 decoder, which I don't apparently have, and none are free, lol.

General LC

Put DVD in drive -> Close drive -> Open WMP -> Done.

i just out it in my dvd drive then wmc opens up with it running

Mine has a software has DVDPlay installed. I have it automatically play any DVD.

Uh... the best thing I can say you should do is download Combined Community Codec Pack. I'll edit after I google it...

Now I get a Digital Copy Protection error....

Have you tried a different player, like say, iTunes?

Also, is your copy of Windows Media up to date?

CCC Pack should include another media player called "Media Player Classic". Open that->File->Open DVD...
