Phantasy Star Online, originally for the SEGA dreamcast and thenlater for the Gamecube, had to be the greatest RPG game I've ever played. I still have it but the lack of online kinda killed it for me i wish it was still online :(

The newest game in the phantasy star series, Phantasy star universe, gives this game a bad name it really is alot greater than that crap. Have any of you heard or played it?

Rius

I have it, but I never got to play online. :( What about C.A.R.D. Revolution? Is it better than PSO or at least PSU?

Kita

Do you have to play online? What's the game about? If I wanted to get it but not play online would it still be a good game?

They took the servers down so you can't play online, but I find it fun enough alone, and there's still local multiplayer. Anyway, it was an MMORPG for GameCube where you had to investigate a new planet to colonize after earth's destruction. It's quite fun actually, and the online was supposed to have been the stuff of legends. :(

when I did play online I found these super powerful players that gave me these beutiful yet powerful weapons! it was great. I also have C.A.R.D. Its also really fun but i haven't beaten it yet. I never tried it online.

And you don't have to play online, the offline mode Is extremely fun! you go through four different worlds with a party of up to four players. The boss battles are amazing and fun! The veriaty of weapons is also enough to pull you into the game. I deffinatly recommend this game to any and all RPG fans

That is a very great game. It is overlooked, alot of my friends dont know what it is =/

I've only played C.A.R.D Revolution but I really loved the game.  I think this was 4 years back or so though so I don't remember everything about it except that it was quite fun (regardless of the fact that my friend deleted my file two times).

If the online servers weren't taken away, I would probably want to really buy PSU.  Regardless, is the game multiplayer without being online and is it really a good choice of game?  I've never had the experience of playing the real PSO games.

I have this game and I think it blows. I never played it online, so obviously I know I missed out on it's main purpose, but the multiplayer is horrible. One player dies, then you all have to start the mission over again. Single player isn't very fun, I just couldn't get into it. I tried a few times and each time I remembered why I thought it sucked.
I guess I'll give it another try, and really stick with it, but only when I find the time. I'm playing Skies of Arcadia: Legends right now.

NEVER play C.A.R.D. revoultion. it is horrible. it completely kills the game series. i think sega got like, some kind of drug sometime. cause they made PSO 3. and sonic heroes. and sonic riders. and just about every other recent sonic or sega games. lol. the original sonics and PSOs are much better. plus the original phantasy stars that werent online

I was going to start a new topic but I figured I'd just bump my old topic since I basically wanted to say the same thing.

I recently started replaying this fantastic game and have once again become addicted.

Addicted to the point where I'm getting the PSO symbol (my icon) tattooed on my shoulder. So opinions? discuss!

Good job! I, Viewtifulboy, declare you the CHAMPION!

I'm the official winner of the Viewtiful Victory roleplay championship!

I dabble with playing Blue Burst. But finding people to play on schthack that aren't leveled into the hundreds already is tough.

And I've been playing PSZero for a while now, pretty sweet.

Played the extended PSU demo, and it was pretty good. The only flaw is (IMO) that you have to pay for membership.
