Talk her into getting a different animal that you're not allergic to. Like a small domestic rodent of some sort. Depends, I don't exactly know what you're allergic/not allergic to.

Go get allergy injections. Repressed mine to the point that the last time I had an allergic reaction to something, I didn't.
I think my Yorshire Poodle mix is hypo-allergenic, or at least low on the allergy causing pet scale.

Getting pets is something for when you are all settled down and married. Even then they cost time and effort, something a lot of couples underestimate.
