For those of you who take or practice Martial arts, what kind of Martial art do you practice.
I don't actually take any Martial arts but I study and practice about all there is. Mainly to find the weaknesses to each one. I tend to be very observant.
I used to take Taekwondo
In like, 4th grade.
Not into martial arts. However, I did recently take up boxing again. It's good fun, even though I'm a little battered and bruised.
I spar a bit, on irregular instances. Don't really use any particular stance, makes it more adaptable. Makes me more adaptable. Though I trained myself. I think I'm pretty good, not great, far from the best, but I'm not bad, either. Besides, I use sticks, so nobody gets seriously hurt.
I do atleast 4 different kinds of martial arts. I am a brown belt working towards a black belt, but i am getting help from my friend who is a 5th degree black belt, and the Grand Master who is an 12th degree black belt.
One of my favorites is battling with Katanas. I happen to have a Wakizashi but dont use it much in battles because it is pretty sharp, and has broken through a blade guard before. (Material placed on the blade of the sword so no ones limb is sliced off).
Martial arts are a little to foreign for my tastes. I would like to try boxing.
I tried Karate. That didn't last long.
I'm a lover, not a fighter.
I know Mortal Kombat.
I'm self learing how to kick butt
Ju-jitsu FTW
Kenpo for a few years, Kung Fu for a few, still learning it.
And Kendo.
Mixed.
Mostly Tae Kwon Do and Karate, and I know a little Brazilian Ju-jitsu and stuff.
I'm a 2nd degree Black Belt.

Regarding martial arts in general I'm at about 9 years as well, though the other two years were some karate before I moved to where I live now.

I used to do karate for a couple of years when I was young. Had I never stopped, I'd be some kind of black belt now... :( I'd love to take Kendo or Ninjitsu though; I just haven't found any schools I'd really like to go to.
I'll probably end up buying a gun anyway.
Was forced to take some form of karate back when I was in first grade, hated it. Was again forced to take some form of karate when I was in...4th or 5th grade? Hated it again.
Would like to learn some form now, but I can't learn anything that would require me to twist my legs, otherwise my knees would give out. Which precludes me from, uh...pretty much all of them.

Maybe you could try a form of boxing with special stances? Otherwise, you could always tell the instructor about your problem beforehand to figure out if they can adequately accommodate your needs.

Thread title is odd.
Anyway, I used to do Karate, I got to a... wait it doesn't matter the color belt I got to, I've been to 2 karate places (one I was trying to get back into it since I haven't done it in a while, didn't happen), and the belt color order was different for both. I think I got to the 3rd color, not positive, I believe it was a green belt.
Anyway, I liked it, we learned a bunch of stuff, then at the end we played a game, usually a type of race (regular, wheelbarrow [SP?], etc.)
Taught me a lot of discipline that vanished... I used to be able to do a poop load of push ups, now I can barely do 10 without needing a break.

I took Goju-Ryu Karate. Unfortunately I was taking it up at my university and this coming semester I have a class placed right when Karate classes are. I may however take Jiu-Jitsu with a buddy of mine, or try out Muay-Thai because both of them seem incredibly interesting. I've tried several different types, and gotten pretty far in most of em, but I just always end up falling through for some reason.
I really enjoy martial arts though. =D
well Eagle claw is now my favorite martial art, definatly a fun one to use.
I took a year of taekwondo, and got to purple belt.
Then they started being vagina cleaning devices, and I lost interest.
I am a Wrestler. I don't do Martial Arts
Wrestling is a martial art, so is boxing.

Recently I've been interested in getting back into this kind of stuff, but I don't have the money of the time. I try to work out on my own, but that doesn't turn out.
I would love to be a black belt in Karate. That'd be kick ass. But I feel like it's kind of too late to get into it now, especially since I'll be in another state in less than a year.

Karate is nothing to compared to Kung Fu.
