I've said before that I would not get back into Animal Crossing unless it made some real changes, not that pathetic store-renaming in City Folk. However, it seems 3DS will be that big change.

New stuff in Animal Crossing 3DS:
-Characters are taller/longer
-Animals are smaller or bigger depending on their species
-You can buy clothing for your lower half, and you can wear pants or skirts regardless of gender
-There's a beach with sand to run on barefoot and an ocean to swim in
-Tom Nook is now a real-estate agent instead of the shop-keeper
-Your furniture can be customized at the shop (different colored cushions, etc.)
-You can customize the outside of your house via fences and such
-There's a railroad track with a mall on the other side, as this is the biggest town in the series
-YOU are the MAYOR, complete with your own secretary

I'm a mayor, running around being everyone's errand boy in a skirt?

After the disappointment of City Folk, I'm glad they are making real changes and actually adding stuff that people have been requesting from the series for a long time.

It's also good to see that they are adding more options of clothing styles, finally paying attention to pants/skirts and shoes.

You're a Mayor DOING stuff for the people. That's admirable.

This video, at 3:57, shows a sketch of a village in the game, and it has boats by the beach. There are houses on the beach as well houses on individual islands and even a larger island with several houses. I wonder how you get to them...

Admirable? Mayors aren't couriers.

Not sure if I want the game anymore...  I think ACWW was my favorite.  It improved on the first and was portable.  In my own opinion, these don't seem to be improvements, just more poop to do.
