IGN also said a couple weeks ago that they had played it and loved how slow it was.

Frankly, I don't trust any professional critics when it comes to Sonic games. He's got a bad reputation thanks to his late-Gamecube/early-Wii/360 games and no one ever forgave him.

People always act like Sonic has changed, but the truth is Sonic NEVER changed, people just have terrible memories. Sonic the Hedgehog was a difficult-to-control buzz-killing stop-and-go pain of a cheap deathtrap-filled platformer series where each game stared more annoying colorful anthropomorphic animals than the last back in the days of the Genesis, and that's still EXACTLY what it is today. The only difference is that furries eventually scared half the fans away and the rest pussied out when other games got too easy.

GRANTED, Sonic DOES have genuinely bad games (Sonic 06), and it's possible this is one of them, but I wouldn't trust the same reviewers that hated Colors and Generations to tell me so.

No one ever understands me when I say I'd rather play a Mario game instead.

And then the game flopped horribly in sales.

Well yeah barely anyone owns a Wii U.

Personally, I'd like to play this game, but I don't really want to pay 59.99 for it when my backlog is huge and I'd cleave through the games' content in mere days if its anything like Unleashed or Generations.

60 bucks for a game is a rip-off regardless.

For a good game it's reasonable. 60 bucks isn't all that much unless you don't have a real job.

No, it's bullpoop.  At most a game should be 50.
