All you kids are telling Nintendo they can throw their characters in any darn game and you'll still buy it.

This is the kind of game where you can watch a 2 minute video on youtube and you've seen the entire game. but oooh link!

I was pretty psyched for this game, but it feels like it's been out in Japan so long that I don't care anymore, and the fact that Super Smash Bros. for 3DS comes out next Friday isn't helping. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I work up the will to get it Friday, or if I pick it up on an impulse buy a couple months from now.

Hyrule Warriors is lacking something... Um.... I think it's lacking...

I love Zelda.
I love Dynasty Warriors.
Yeah, I'll pick it up.

I do not like Dynasty Warriors, actually.  Sure I want it, but I'd rather pay FULL PRICE for Sengoku Basara 4 when it comes out.

You don't understand the appeal of Warriors games, man. Watching the gameplay isn't the same as playing it. When you watch it, it actually looks even more boring than if you're playing it. At least to me. But then again, I steer clear of let's plays because I'm not a retard and I play my own games.

They're just exaggerated beat em ups, where everything is blown out of proportion(attacks, enemies, etc.). If that's not for you then fine, but for people like me that like Warriors games and Zelda its a pretty great crossover.

It's not about the games, man, it's about the commentary. You watch to laugh, not because you want to play vicariously. Yeah it's mostly crap, but there are some good teams out there; Rooster Teeth, Game Grumps, and Super Best Friends (my favorite) are great examples.
Title: Re: hyrule warriors
Post by: Viewtifulboy on September 26, 2014, 07:24:48 AM
Actually it's more fun to watch someone with skill play it.  Someone with a leveled-up character using the flashiest moves to show off being a one-person killing machine, and it's even more fun to be that person yourself.

Really liking the fan service so far.

It's almost TOO much at times... almost.

Caved, got it, it's tons of fun and has Zelda fan service dripping out every orifice. Really fun in multiplayer too, even though the graphics and framerate take a dive with two players.

I already bought the season pass.

If you're a Zelda buff and can find joy in a hack-n-slash, then yeah.

imo it's definitely worth it; my friends and I played for about 6 hours straight yesterday.

The finale was freakin' awesome.

Going through Adventure mode now to get the other characters; this mode is way harder than Legend mode.

I'm sad there's no voice acting. Missed opportunity.
I wish they had it, and inspired future Zelda games to use it. Though Link can still easily be the silent protagonist guy with a fairy that talks for him, I don't mind, and I even prefer, that.

First batch of DLC is out today.

A new Adventure map, new story missions, 3 new characters (Cia, Volga, and Wizzro), a bunch of new costumes (mostly unlockable via the Adventure map), new pixelated weapons, and a new weapon class for Link: Epona!

i dont understand why people want voice acting so badly

Its just going to be poop voice acting because they didn't hire people that can actually act and then all the weeaboo purists will be coming out of the woodwork saying the japanese VA is better

like every intercourse ing time

just stop begging for VA. there is no intercourse ing point in a Zelda game.

IMO the Season Pass is totally worth it.

It's a better version of the game too; the sailing is faster and the Triforce hunt is about half as long because you only need to find the chart and Triforce for a few pieces. Most you just find the Triforce Piece itself.
