Just got all the Chaos Emeralds (FUCK SPECIAL STAGE 4 WITH A CORKSCREW), so I guess I'm about done

Pretty good, even though it plays really differently from the older games...by which I mean S3&K, which is the only classic game I've played, so I'm not the one to talk about that. It's okay for a Sonic game, but Sega could definitely do better, considering this is Sonic 4, and not part of the Rush series/Advance games.

And I'm just going to say right now that Lost Labyrinth is my favorite Zone in the entire game. I said it, and no one cares. Even the water portion wasn't that bad, and the music for Act 1 was just awesome. On the note of music, the Final boss theme is pretty bad compared to anything else.

I thought Episode 1 was pretty good, ze. It doesn't have to play exactly like the old games, and getting the hang of the new physics is very rewarding.

The game was a bit on the easy side, though...

on it's own, it's....meh. It's not good nor is it bad.

However, as a classic Sonic game it fails horribly, physics are non-existent.

If you want physics go play a mario game. That's what the Sonic Defense Force told me the other day, and apparently Sonic fans aren't allowed to complain either so stop doing that.

all and all I might buy this just to play that gosh darn casino level.

Perhaps the word "fan" doesn't really apply that much on him.

Anyway, should I buy the game or not? I'd like somebody whom I can trust that doesn't pin down the game by its throat.

Go for it. I'm pretty sure that you'd like it. It's not like it's a bad game at all, but to a Sonic fan...well, that's up for debate.

You do realize the reason that the classic games are so good is that it's because of the physics being so good for the series. The engine was basically coded by Naka himself and meant to be rewarding to those who can properly build up speed on their own.

Of course I knew. Tell that to the Sonic Defense Force.
