yeah
like they handed out booklets for the starters
and you did cool little event type things in real life to get stamps for each starter
there was the zorark movie
and a makeshift pokemon center think so you get pokedolls
and a screening of the show best wishes
you got to play the game early
it was super awesome
new pokemon were revealed (but we already knew because we saw the Japanese stuff, it might actually be a surprise this time though)
you could get the celebi event
it was super cool! i really hope they do another one

They had the launch party at Nintendo World which was a huge event. Which the little mall tours scattered around the country seemed like nothing compared to it.

Now that I think about it more, I might have heard something about it, just didn't pay any mind to it because there wasn't any chance of me getting down to the city to participate.
Of course, now it's a different story, since I can drive myself there--which I couldn't do in 2010. Yay aging?
